Pain and me: Tamar Pincus talks about chronic pain, acceptance and commitment.

This video tells the story of someone living with ongoing pain.

At first, they try to remove the pain by going to a doctor, and sometimes that helps — but the pain keeps returning and begins to affect all parts of their life, including work and family. Over time, they feel like they’re losing who they are. When the doctor eventually says the pain can’t be taken away, they choose a different approach: focusing on the people and activities they love. By adding more meaningful experiences to life — things not about the pain — they feel brighter and more like themselves again, even if the pain is still there.
